Golf in the Dominican Republic

Imagine being able to play golf all year round on some of the world’s most challenging and enjoyable courses.  Golf is one of the Dominican Republic’s top attractions, bringing thousands of tourists in droves to this destination. What makes golf so popular is the combination of outstanding year round summer weather and the varied terrain. Caribbean weather allows for play even during rainy days, when brief showers quickly give way to clear skies. Course architects have incorporated hills and coastline into the design to doubly test the golfers.

I am not a Golfer myself, but have been very lucky to visit the PB Dye La Cana Golf Course, which is a top 50 in the World, Ive also seen how the Jack Niklaus Punta Espada has been constructed from start to finish and it is something out of this world, truly beautiful. The Gary Player course which is in the town on Juan Dolio is something to see, so close to the city and yet it keeps the feeling of a retreat in this beautiful and scenic town.
